Featuring Aipa’s iconic Sting shape design with incredible “Sea Breeze of Hawaii” airbrush fade design. Shaped by the late Ben Aipa (1942-2021) in the early 1970s. 6’6 swallow tail. Extremely well preserved all original condition. The Sting surfboard shape design was envisioned and produced by Ben Aipa in the early 1970s. It represents the first winged surfboard ever created. The unmistakable outline ushered in one of the most revolutionary moments in surf history. The Sting’s influence can be seen in all winged surfboards to date. The positioning of the wing enables an early release which allows sharper turns on the face of the wave. Use as a functional vintage surfboard or decorative surfboard work of art.
