By the end of the decade, Pat Curren would become the most renowned big-wave surfboard craftsman in the world. He was also the father of 3X World Champion surfer, Tom Curren. Recent auction results for Pat Curren surfboards include a 1994 Pat Curren balsa surfboard sold for $47,000 +15% buyers fee (final price of $54,000) at a 2022 auction.
