Bloomingdale JB100 10’10 Jetboard made between the years of 1965-1968. This board was purchased in the 1960’s and has been in dry storage for over 50 years. Everything is original including the paint and logo with minor scratches in paint top and bottom. Complete with leash, original manuals, and rear fin. Very difficult to find one complete and in such great condition.

Originally conceived by the heir to the Bloomingdale Department Store, Alfred Bloomingdale, who loved surfing but hated paddling. The prototype was made of wood but it wasn’t adequate. The final version, shown here was constructed out of airplane aluminum and made like the wing of an airplane. It’s extremely hard to find a JB100 Jetboard in great condition. Only 600-700 were ever made and most have found homes in surfing museums and private collections. The board has a flat lightweight custom Tecumseh 6.25 hp engine with a jetski like jet. The board speed is controlled by the dial on the deck of the board. The leash connects to the board with a magnet, so if the surfer falls off, the leash detaches and the engine turns off. Measuring: 10’10″ x 26″  x 5″. Use as a functional jet surfboard or decorative surfboard art piece!
