Lightning Bolt surfboard shaped by Gerry Lopez in 1975. Featuring a gorgeous orange tinted bottom with matching lightning bolt and complimentary red pinstriping. Stunning 4-color glassed on single fin. 7’7, diamond tail. Signed “LOPEZ” on the foam and above the glass. Australian Southern Cross laminate on the tail indicating it was glassed in Hawaii by an Aussie, Ted Wilson. This spectacular example remains in all original condition. A fully restored condition 1978 Lightning Bolt shaped by Gerry Lopez sold for $20,000 +15% buyers fee (final price of $23,000) at a 2019 auction.
