Features striking red panels with unique wide balsawood outer stringers, redwood center stringer, and scarfed wood nose. Stunning 13-piece wooden fin with black halo. Shaped by the late Mike Diffenderfer (1937-2002) in the early 2000s. Glassed by the renowned Jack “JR” Reeves. 11’1 pintail. 1 of only 3 made—the other 2 are owned by Steve Pezman, founder of The Surfer’s Journal publication. The two boards have graced the entrance to The Surfer’s Journal office for over 20 years (photo included of all 3 boards recently reunited in addition to a letter from Pezman discussing the boards). Mike Diffenderfer was surfboard design pioneer and mentor to renowned surfboard craftsman, the late Dick Brewer (1936-2022). Offered for the first time from a high-end collector in California.
